Welcome to Burton Overy Parish Council
Your Parish Council is made up of five Councillors who meet regularly, making decisions which endeavour to make Burton Overy a better place to live, work and visit. Attending a council meeting is the best way to find out what we do and from 2020 we will normally meet on the third Tuesday of the month in the village hall. Our website includes a wealth of information about how we conduct business and what we do and has links to all local services in YOUR local services. The agenda and supporting paperwork for meetings is published on the website during the week before the meeting.
The picturesque village of Burton Overy is situated in a pleasant valley, surrounded by trees, 8 miles S.E. of Leicester. The village has a thriving and active village community and is home to 5 working farms, although there are 8 working farms within the parish. It was designated as a Conservation Area in 1974. Further information on the village community can be found on our Village Website.
