Grass Cutting (Leicestershire County Council)

The 2019 grass cutting season is now complete. Preparations are already underway for next year and cut date information will be available here in March 2020.

Leicestershire County Council only cut grass for safety reasons, not appearance. Clippings are left on the verge as the sheer amount means LCC can't collect them. Leaving them is also good for the environment, as nutrients get passed back into the soil.

More information on how verges may be cut to encourage wild flower verges may be found on the Leicestershire County Council website at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/road-maintenance/grass-cutting

Mobile Library (Leicestershire County Council)

Books are available to borrow in the Telephone Book Exchange, on Main Street. The Mobile Library visits the village on the second Tuesday of the month stopping at the Church between 14.35 - 15.05.

2020 visits will take place on the following days

14 Jan - 11 Feb - 10 Mar - 14 Apr - 12 May - 9 Jun - 14 Jul - 11 Aug

8 Sep - 13 Oct - 10 Nov - 8 Dec
