The Parish Council bought the old telephone box on Main street for £1 and now maintains it as a Book Exchange. Donated books of all types are available to borrow.

Burton Overy Parish Council owns three benches. These are located on the corner by Manor Farm, next to the Book Exchange on Main Street and the World War 1 Memorial bench at Rectory End.

There are three grit bins, one on the corner opposite The Bell, one at the top corner of Carlton Lane and one on Scotland Lane.

The Parish Council owns and maintains three dog waste bins. One is situated close to the Book Exchange, Main Street, one close to the Village Hall, Rectory End and a third on Town Street.

The Parish Council Notice Board has been relocated to the wall of Higher House, Main Street and thanks are given to Kate Goddard and Andrew Marshall for hosting it.

The Village Notice Board is located close to the Book Exchange on Main Street.
